Filtration Society filter testing conference programme now online

A complete technical programme for this year’s Filtration Society annual conference and exhibition is now available on line.

The conference ‘Filter Testing 5 – millimetre to nanometre’ will take place on 13 October 2010 in Chester, UK.

This year the main one-day event will be preceded by a short course and workshop on 12 October for those new to filter testing, or who wish to further develop their knowledge in this field.

Conference organiser, Dr Graham Rideal of Whitehouse Scientific, is particularly pleased with the enthusiastic response he has received from invited speakers. “This conference continues to grow and once again I am delighted that we have been able to attract people who are world leaders in their fields,” he said. “Many of those presenting the main conference sessions are also teaching the pre-conference short course, providing attendees with a unique learning opportunity.”

The conference will begin with two plenary presentations, one outlining the latest ISO standards and the other covering validation methods that ensure repeatability. A number of speakers will describe novel ways of detecting and filtering out nanoparticles.

A trade exhibition running alongside the conference will also feature a unique ‘Technology burst’ session in which exhibitors are given the opportunity to make 5-10 minute presentations about their products or services – an efficient means of introducing delegates to all that is available in the trade show.
