BASF SE and Sigma-Aldrich have signed a global distribution agreement for a number of BASF’s pharmaceutical excipients. Sigma-Aldrich will repackage the products into small pack sizes making them available for academic orientated research and development segments like universities and laboratories.
“Through our agreement with Sigma-Aldrich, we can ensure scientists around the globe a reliable supply of our high-performance materials,
addressing today’s most relevant developments in drug formulation and delivery. Researchers will benefit through more flexible packaging
sizes that meet their lab demands,” says Dr Ralf Fink, Head of Global Marketing Pharma Ingredients at BASF.
“Our partnership with BASF SE brings an enhanced line of high quality pharmaceutical excipients to the global research and academic
community, supporting growing opportunities in research, drug formulation and other life science areas,” added Josef Zihlmann, Vice
President Sales and Marketing at Sigma-Aldrich.
The excipients portfolio offered comprises various grades of binders (Kollidons), coatings (Kollicoats) and solubilizers (Cremophors, Lutrols, Solutol). A complete list of products is available on the Sigma-Aldrich website at www.sigmaaldrich.com
